Dr. Archie Hopper

In canon (and in quite a few of my little AU verses I came up with years ago), Archie is a fully-trained psychiatrist. Though his Cursed memories of his time at Stanforth University and his degree from there are forged, he still has the medical and psychological training to act as a licensed psychiatrist in Storybrooke. He also makes it a habit to keep up with the latest research and techniques to better assist his friends and patients. On top of that, he has skills in studying people from when he grew up as a thief with his parents. This means that Archie can perform very quick assessments of a person's both physical and mental health though he doesn't typically hand out diagnoses without more in-depth analysis with full knowledge and permission of that person.

If your character has things that stand out about their physical or psychological health (both positive and negative) that he might noticed even when he's first getting to know someone, please comment below with the following information:

• Character Name: If Archie knows them by an alias he was given, please make a note of that just so I don't have a brainfart.


• Character Canon: Just nice to know in case I want to give your canon a more in-depth look for my own fun.


• RP Source: What games, memes, PSLs, etc., this applies to. Some characters undergo changes during their time in a game, sometimes finding help for past traumas or gaining new trauma. This is just so I don't get something I know for a character based on other games or seeing where they came from mixed up with what is only applicable for that particular setting.


• Notable Observable Physical Details: Doesn't have to be a full physical description of the character but something that might be noticeable to someone with a medical degree. For example, the character who can speak clearly but pays close attention to the lips of whomever they're talking to could be an indicator of at least partial deafness.


• Notable Observable Psychological Details: Behaviors that might be more noticeable to someone with extensive training in psychology that could indicate their mental state. For example, someone who keeps toying with their ring finger which has tan lines of where a ring once was. This implies they're used to the feel of having a ring there so the removal is incredibly recent and can indicate that this person is newly-divorced, suffered the loss of their spouse and are trying to move on, potentially looking to start an affair but is uneasy about it, or just plain lost their ring and it feels weird while they wait to get a replacement.

If we play across several avenues (like we're in a game and also in a PSL), awesomesauce! Feel free to make a header comment with Character Name and Character Canon and then a new comment for each RP source with Notable Observable Physical and Psychological Details for that setting!
